Move the aim left and right (or up and down), then hold SHOOT. The meter shows how high the ball will cross the line: let go at the right moment. Watch the wind!
How to play
Score more goals than the other team before the clock runs out. A draw in a Quick Match goes to a golden goal: the next goal wins. In the Stick Cup a draw goes to penalties, and in the League a draw is a point each.
Tricks
With the ball, press SKILL (I key, ○, or the TACKLE button): no direction for a step-over, sideways for a spin, backwards for a rainbow flick over a defender, and right up against a defender for a nutmeg. When the ball is in the air, press SHOOT to head or volley it at goal (facing your own goal: a bicycle kick!), or PASS to head it to a team-mate. From out wide near the goal, PASS crosses it into the box.
New: Skill Games
🥅 Skill Games in the lobby: the Crossbar Challenge (hit the bar, a streak of bars scores more, with a weekly leaderboard), Target Practice and the Daily Skill Shot (the same 10 targets for everyone today, with a daily leaderboard). Aim, then hold SHOOT: the meter beside the goal shows how high the ball will cross the line.
Stadiums, wind and kits
Pick a stadium in Quick Match: Stick Park, the Grand Arena (cup finals are played there), the Street Cage or Sunset Beach. In the 💨 wind the ball drifts while it is in the air, so aim against it. New team kits are in the shop. The Champions Cup (Cups · League · Career) is 16 of the best clubs; win it on Legend for a rare 💎 emerald.
Fouls and penalties
Slide in from behind and you will probably give away a foul, maybe a yellow card. Two yellows, or a bad foul on the last defender, is a red card: that player is sent off. A foul in the box is a penalty. Taking one: aim up or down and hold SHOOT. Saving one: hold up or down to dive that way.
Phone or tablet (hold it sideways)
Left thumb anywhere on the left side moves. PASS passes (or switches player when you don't have the ball), hold SHOOT to charge a shot and let go, SPRINT runs faster, TACKLE slides in. Push up or down while you shoot to aim at a corner: the ball curls in.
In 2 Players on one phone, each player gets half the screen: stick on the outside edge, A pass and B shoot / tackle; push the stick all the way to sprint.
Controller
L-stick or D-pad moves · ✕ pass / switch · hold □ to charge a shot and let go · ○ slide tackle (with the ball: skill move) · R1 or R2 sprint · △ power · L1 switch player · L2 long high ball · flick the right stick for a skill move that way · Start pause. The buttons you can use right now are shown at the bottom of the screen, and the controller rumbles on big moments.
Push up or down while you shoot to aim at a corner: the ball curls in.
2 Players
Plug in a second controller: it plays Player 2 with the same buttons.

When you play alone the arrow keys, Space (shoot), Z (pass) and Shift (sprint) work too.
Stick moves, A pass, X shoot, B tackle, RB/RT sprint. Esc or P pauses.
Online with friends
Press 🌐 Online in the lobby: make a room and share its 5-letter code, invite a friend, or use Quick play. Two players play 1 v 1, three or four play 2 v 2 (or 2 v 1), and computer players fill the rest of each team. Everyone runs their own player with the normal controls. A finished online match pays soccer coins like a Quick Match.
Coins and the shop
Every goal you score earns 🪙 10 stick.cafe coins, a win 🪙 50 and winning the Stick Cup 🪙 300. Win the cup on Legend for a rare 💎 emerald.
In Quick Match and the Stick Cup you also earn ⚽ soccer coins: 15 for every match you finish, 10 a goal and 50 a win. Spend them in the Shop on skins, hats, trails, balls, upgrades and powers. Upgrades and powers work in Quick Match and the Stick Cup.
